Outside of the school uniform, when it comes to clothes, June leans more towards the philosophy of "Is it comfy? Yes? I'll wear it." So her wardrobe consists of a lot of loose fitting baggy shirts, oversized hoodies, sweat pants, and the like. But she does have a few nicer dresses and outfits buried away in her closet in the off chance she actually needs to wear something "classy".

June's demeanor is marked by a stark reserve and an almost clinical detachment from those around her. This cold facade is not a natural reflection of her true personality but rather a shield she has constructed to guard against the pain caused by years of neglect and disappointment. Her difficulty in trusting others manifests in her curt responses and emotionally distant interactions, which only serve to reinforce the perception that she is unapproachable, indifferent and to some, she even seems displeased with the existence of others around her.
However, beneath this hardened surface lies a deeply compassionate and lonely individual. June's true nature reveals itself in moments of quiet kindness and unexpected warmth. Her genuine friendliness and consideration emerge subtly, often when she feels safe enough with someone to finally, truly let her guard down. This juxtaposition of her cold exterior and her warm, kind-hearted inner self highlights a poignant struggle: while she yearns for connection and understanding, her fear of vulnerability often keeps her from fully embracing the relationships she deeply desires.

She was supposed to be a boy... June's arrival into the world, wasn't met with the commonplace fanfare and excitement from both parents, but with disappointment and indifference from her father. A man who had expected, no, desired a son. One he could teach the tools of the trade to, and later in life, leave his growing media empire to. But when she was born a girl instead? Well that was the exact moment her father abandoned her emotionally. And that disappointment, and disapproval? It seeped into the very fabric of their home life. In an environment where expectations loomed large and her worth was constantly measured against an ideal, June learned early on that her presence was more a burden than a blessing to the pair.
As such, June grew up in a household where emotional expression was often stifled and vulnerability was considered a weakness. Her parents, both high-achieving professionals, valued success and self-reliance above all else. In this environment, June learned early on to keep her emotions in check and to present a composed exterior. As a child, she was often praised for her maturity and stoicism, which only reinforced her tendency to hide her true feelings behind a facade of detachment.
In a vain effort to gain the approval of either of her parents, June channelled her energy into mastering the piano. Something her father bought her, to keep her occupied, and to keep her away from him. From a young age, she devoted countless hours to practice, driven by a desire to prove herself and earn the praise she so desperately sought. The piano became both her refuge and her battleground. While she excelled, her performances were marked not just by technical skill but by a precision that betrayed her emotional distance. Each note was played with the hope of finally bridging the gap between herself and the choking grip of expectations her parents had hung around her neck.
As June grew older, her emotional isolation deepened, manifesting in her interactions with others. Her interactions were often curt and emotionally detached, a defence mechanism she employed to shield herself from further disappointment. Despite this, she found solace in the quiet moments of musical expression, where her true feelings emerged through her fingers on the piano keys. It was in these rare instances that the real her, the compassionate, and kind young lady that she buried and locked away deep inside her heart would become visible, albeit in fleeting glimpses.
By the time June was to start high school, her father had finally decided that her presence was an inconvenience he could no longer tolerate. Instead of facing the complexities of his strained relationship with his daughter, he opted to send June off to the prestigious Panacea Academy. It was a place he believed would distract her and keep her out of his way, a decision that left June finally resigned to her fate as nothing more than a burden to either parent. As she packed her belongings for this new chapter, she clung to the hope that maybe, just maybe, this separation would finally give her the space she needed to discover her own self worth.
