[attr="class","wjoshpost"]The stranger looked back at her as though her statement had accosted him. “You’re the unfortunate sophomore that needs help adjusting to a new school?!” He retreated backwards staring at her aghast before insulting her further.

"Why are you here if it's such a bother to you?" She snapped back, losing her own temper as she stepped forward removing his safe little space.

[attr="class","wjoshpost"]Normally such statements wouldn't have bothered her. In fact she would have taken his astonishment that anyone would ever think her incapable as compliment. But...instead like some pathetic woman she grew sensitive at the notion of him mocking her.

“It—It wasn’t a bother to me."

She crossed her arms frowning and still wanting her heels, she would have felt better if she was looking down upon him rather than eye level. The boy answered quickly, his nerves appearing rattled by her nearness as he stepped back again.

“It’s… It’s just your attitude!”

She scoffed then, not being comforted by his words. Either he was lying about not being bothered or he was admitting that it didn't matter who he was escorting, both of which irritated her. Josuette took in a deep breath and finally drew her intense gaze from him. Down the hall she could see dots of students moving above girl's dormitory.

Life waited for no one. "I don't have time for your charity tour," she announced eyes falling back onto him. "If you're interested in aiding me then follow me back to the library." She ordered boldly, completely ignoring his nonsense about her attitude as it wasn't the first time she had heard such a pointless statement. Uncrossing her arms, she didn't give him time to deny her as she propped open her dorm room door and began searching for the folder she had left behind.

[attr="class","wjoshpost"]She wasn't ignorant to the fact that she should have merely told him that she didn't require his help and leave. But she didn't because she felt compelled to keep him near; albeit on a leash. That oddly was the most pressing want within her...to chain him to her—emerald eyes briefly looked in his direction watching him approach the doorway—not exactly a healthy mindset.

“I’m sure you don’t know where anything else is on campus besides the library and girl’s dormitory." Jerking her gaze towards him she parted her lips to snap at his first statement, however he was eager to press onward with his futile attempts to gain control over her. You don’t exactly get to dictate how I’m going to help you out.”

"I'm not a puppy," she straightened and looked to him with amusement, because a puppy was exactly what he was to her. A pup that had stumbled into a wolf's den. "I can find my way around just fine." She informed him the obvious, and it was then that she slowly drew her eyes down his body, letting him clearly see her looking at him.

"If you'll not help me then I have no need for you. There's the door," she gestured with her intoxicating eyes, her words callous in nature, however secretly her heart stung at the notion of him actually leaving. Still she said what she did to prove to herself as much as him that she was the one in control.

[attr="class","wjoshpost"]When she freely viewed his body he stiffened and grew hostile in his stance, offended by her wandering eyes. It was what she wanted, for him to squirm but she also...enjoyed the soft handsomeness he harbored. His eyes sharp, and so full of pent up assertion, yet the rest of his features were youthful, untouched.

"If I agree to help you, then I expect a thank you from that mouth of yours."

Josuah's brows rose at his particular choice of words, but she didn't seem in the least bit detoured.

"Before I help you with anything." He added with overflowing frustration.

The door to her dorm room was still open, and she found her eyes drifting towards it. Aoife could return at any moment so if she was going to continue playing with her new pup...then they needed to be on their way.

"What's your name?" She asked, emerald eyes drawing to his golden ones.

[attr="class","wjoshpost"]"Stop trying to boss me around about everything," He quietly complained, and once again her brows lifted slightly. Why was he becoming whiny all of a sudden, where was the fire she had just seen within him.

"If you want to know my name, you'll have to be at least a bit more agreeable." He declared, and pouted causing his features to look even more childish than before.

"Cute," she teased him, and the foreignness of her actions prickled inside her chest. She wasn't normally like this...but her possession of him had come quickly and it was practically blinding. It reminded her of how she had been in the past with a Bambi plushie she owned.

She would take that item everywhere...and grow violent with anyone who tried to take it from her. That is until her mother intervened. Josuette remembered her cruel lesson as though it were yesterday.

Lynda warned her on what happened to those who wore their weaknesses so visibly before handing her a shoe box... inside resided her plushie cut to pieces. It had been heartless of her, but a valuable lesson. She never cried when she saw it, she just stood there unmoving as the last remaining source of her happiness died.

Within the corner of her eye she saw the approach of another student with paperwork long before their fist rose to knock. Instinctively, she stepped in front of the boy as though to protect him from unwanted eyes.



"Deliver for miss," she glanced at her name. "Uh, Ardel."

"You may leave it there," Josuette crossed her arms, unfriendly as she gestured with her chin towards a desk on her side of the room.

"Cool beans, oh and welcome to PA," the girl offered, her eyes briefly trying to see the student behind her before she took her leave. A soft breath left Josuette, the interruption jarring her from the darker memories of her childhood. Turning her head she peered towards the teenage boy from over her shoulder.

[attr="class","wjoshpost"]Josuette's heart stirred with satisfaction when he practically fell over himself as she approached. She tried to ignore it, to heed her mother's warnings, but the boy was so difficult to ignore.

When the student left and she looked over her shoulder, she watched as he tensed and grew aggressive all over again. He was like a little fawn, becoming all poofy like a kitten.



Clenching her jawline she turned gripping the door of her dorm and shutting it. Josuette pressed her back into the wood and stared at the boy whose face was as flush as ruby.

"Do you have a girlfriend?"
