The sweet scent of flowers soothed the crisp, late-summer air; the fresh outdoor flora of the Sidereal Gardens were refreshing, pleasant, and melancholic all the same time for Faylin to breathe in. Sidereal Gardens reminded her of home... well, a piece of home. It wasn't the same feeling of losing one's self in the isolated outdoors as she'd done countless times as a child, but it was a sensation that still grasped at her heart in a bitter-sweet way, as though reminding her of a peaceful time from a not-so-distance past.
Colorful, beautiful flowers landscaped in a way that showcased the collaborate masterpiece of art shared between nature and humankind. With her slow, peaceful steps she detoured past the flower bushes that trimmed along the pathway of the gardens, her knee-length skirt threaded with sheer ribbon flowing in a smooth tide following suit the gentle breeze.
Staying in Wisteria City, and now being sent to Panacea Academy, was still sinking in. Faylin was overcome with waves of anxiety that came, and went, almost as unpredictably as the nature of a coastal shoreline. In this moment, however, she felt soothed and brought at ease by what was one of the first areas of the campus she'd wandered onto by her own.
Pausing by one of the bushes compromising of the maze-like garden structure, Faylin found something she was hoping for: something different, or an anomaly. She lifted her camera from her cross-body body that was embroidered with vines, trees, and mushrooms. She begun modifying the lens, before kneeling down to take a close-range snapshot of a few of the hydrangeas. They were from a meticulous landscaper's perspective, imperfect, unlike the solid colored purples dotting the rest of the bush. Spots of blue, hinted shades of green, and one had a streak of pink dashing across it. They caught her more than the solid purples, and she decided she might as well capture the moment of a first anomaly she'd found thus far.
