She had reasons for everything, no matter how ridiculous! It was never a mystery whether she had reasons behind her erratic behavior! It was just a matter of Brendon knowing that her ability to rationalize and be reasonable was nonexistent. Still, he was relieved to have gotten his way. “Yes, I know. It was strange to know that they had only met on Saturday. She wanted to tease him, to flirt with him when he acted like this but she was still sensitive about their differences. She thought he was so very handsome as a boy, and cute. But she'd be much happier in the relationship—she realized—if he was a girl. So they could be on equal grounds. She didn't want Brendon to protect her as a man...she wanted to do that for him. She had such a strong drive for it. "I have a private chauffer who can take us out." It sounded as though he were boasting now. Despite all of her 'thoughts' on being friends...she still found herself doing the unthinkable. Rising from the bed she moved to take one of the desk chairs and push it into the doorknob, barricading them in.
