He was more then just by her, he actually sat across from Jade with a textbook open in front of him. His face was resting between both hands as he had indented to stare at the ever flowing content and somehow absorb it into his seventeen year old brain. Perhaps, if he stared long and hard enough, he could absorb all of its content in one go! Thus, becoming the smartest person alive in the terms of - ah - what subject was this again? 

The book was gently raised to peer at the subject title and then promptly dropped back down.

Science! 

Nah, fuck it. Science didn't like him and he most definitely didn't like it in the slightest. In fact, he rather like a toad then continue on in this chapter that was utterly mind numbing! This was when he had finally taken note of the girl across from him and all of her brightly colored beads. Now those beauties had captured his gaze long before she had even noticed him. 

In fact, while she hadn't been paying attention Cyrus had taken a neon orange bead and a yellow one in hand. Idly, he was playing with it down the spine of the open book. Because this was far more entertaining then actually leaning a subject. Plus, he liked this particular colors as they matched his randomly dyed strands of hair and bangles. 

"Hm?" He responded, peeling his eyes away from his new found toys. "This weird kid was studying the art of science. But now he is studying the are of beads." The two beads he had been playing with rolled together with a gentle clack. Reaching out, he idly picked out another bead to join his small growing army of distracting bead warriors. 

One bead was sent rolling into the other, creating a gentle clacking noise. Then the beads would be put back together and the process repeated. Cyrus was playing with the beads like a small child with adhd. He had even considered reaching over to take a fourth when the girl spoke again. A second later two of the three beads were taken!

The junior pouted, ”Hey, come on. I was just playing with them. I was going to give them back you know.” He tried to look offended as he leaned back in his chair. Running, now the only bead, between his closed hands. Clearly, ignoring the offer to help him with a subject that made him want to vomit on the daily. "Besides, I'm not stealing...I'm just, ya know, borrowing."

His eyes now glued to her work in progress. ”Whatcha making?” The bead he held was now rolling across the back of his knuckles while the free hand tip toed back to the bead tray to see if he could snag another bead whole she was distracted. Knowing full well he might get his hand slapped or out right removed from his body at this point. 

Oh. Right. If he had just opened his eyes a bit wider he could see that she was making bracelet. But to be fair, he was only partly paying attention due to the beads just eating the rest of said attention. Originally, at least. 

"Hey, that's awfully pretty." He declared with high interest. The bead he was playing with came to a stop in the middle of his textbook. "I do." He responded brightly. It was easy to see his own bits and bobbles, all bright neon colors that stuck out like a sore thumb. 

Cyrus would grin ever so widely at this notion. "Again, borrowing with intentions to return. However, I would love to learn to make some of those." Especially, if it meant getting to play around with all the cool colors. 

"Teach me, Grand Master of the Beads." The bead he had been playing with was returned to the pile of the same color.  

If there is one way to make the boy's eyes glitter like the stars, it was allowing him to work with something he enjoyed. These beads had fully captured his attention and he wanted nothing more to just handle them and spin them around on a wire and so when Jade showed him to measure a wrist, well, he was all ears. All eyes, all hands, all everything you could list. 

He then watched her tie the knot and work on the clasp. Even here, the junior looked all stary eyed as if he was about to be given some huge special award of some sort. When in reality, it was just a bead bracelet. "Oohhhhh...." He spoke in awe and as soon as he was given the items to tie his own knot. 

He, well gave it a go and clearly was struggling with the little wire. However, he stuck his tongue out, squinted his eyes and worked from memory. He did get the thing together but it most certainly wasn't the best in the world. Clearly, a novice but once finished he held it out to Jade to inspect. Like a proud parent, he held it with such glory. 

"Hey! I think I got it!" Or, maybe he butchered it but if it all held then who cared? 

Ah, yes! Praise! Cyrus ate that up with a great big grin. It was a tragedy that humans didn't have tails to express themselves with, though, maybe it was a good thing they didn't. Cyrus' tail would probably never cease moving and ware itself out. "I'm a fast learner!" He declared smoothly, excited that he did something correct. Heh, he maybe a fast learner in the arts but boy did he not pick up on science to save his life. 

And now, his eyes formed into little crescents of glee at the mere idea of being hired to make adorable bracelets! Now, that would be quite fun to do and he wouldn't mind it at all. His fingers drummed on the table as Jade went about tightening up his knot that wasn't quite snug as it should have been. 

Happily, he started picking out some colorful beads he liked. Lining them up on his book. "'Have you? Hey, that's pretty nifty! I'm not surprised you have though, the beads and everything are awfully pretty."  He loved them himself, the brighter the better. The more glittery - even better! 

He stopped in mid bead plucking to realize names hadn't been exchanged. When Jade offered her own, he handed out his easily. "Cyrus, nice to meet'cha, Jade!"

A little yellow, some blue, some green, and now slap that into a cute little pattern. Yes, this little bracelet was going to be absolutely adorable when he was finished. Maybe he can use a cute little bunny bead that he spotted a moment ago. It was just the head of a cute chubby little rabbit who was smiling ever so largely. 

However,  he didn't quite want to push his luck on playing with the beads. So, his fingers avoided that cute bead for the time being. "Hey, thanks!" He beamed at Jade as another bead was slipped onto the chord. This was pretty fun and relaxing. Maybe he should of picked this up as a hobby sooner? 

His gaze traveled from beads to Jade, a look of interest and confusion. "Wait, we have a crafting club and kilns?" That was new to him but then again he was often by himself in treetops when not around Caleb or Farrah. His friend group was rather small. He considered this for a moment, "When do you all meet? Maybe...maybe I'll stop by and take a peek?" He wasn't really sure if he was any good at crafting beads but it might be fun to try? Couldn't be terrible to see. 

The dark haired teen beamed, "Really? Man, that'll be cool but - ah - remember, first time making one of these. I might be terrible." He laughed. 

Cyrus supposed Jade was right, the school was extremely prestigious. He shouldn't be surprised that the school had its own kiln and everything else under the sun. Like Jade had said, this school had a metalshop and that wasn't the average norm in most schools. Most schools just had your AG building and stuff like that. "You make a fair point." He said, with a slight nod in agreement. 

He snickered a moment later, "A giant cat sculpture? Hmm, sounds like something I would enjoy seeing. Maybe, I'll stop by next time." He agreed, it did sound quite fun and interesting to him.

Skittles then sighed as he listed on, man, that was no joke! This school was full of rich kids waving around their parents money like it was nothing! "I'm the kid that can't afford to add twelve pumps of caramel to their coffee." In other words, he was not the rich kid. He was one of the lucky ones that got a scholarship here. "But there is a whole lot of crap that does go on between the two. Don't ask me why. Haven't been able to figure that out myself." Cyrus spoke with a shrug of the shoulders.
