River's always been one to keep the peace. He's easygoing, often falling back on smiles and laughter to make sure not to rock the boat. He doesn't mind being the butt of the joke, so long as it means everyone else is having a good time. 

His parents and teachers worry he's not ambitious enough. He's got decent grades. He reads the room well. He's got an eye for details. But at the end of the day, River's not concerned about reaching big, lofty goals or pursuing a greater purpose. He just wants to be happy—deeply happy past a surface-level—but often finds it to be a challenge.

He does his best to surround himself with happy people so he can channel their energy, but worries that others will find him to be a parasite.

Does eating count? He's a big foodie and likes to visit trendy spots around Wisteria City. He can also be found messing around with a basketball during his free periods with friends. He'll also call himself a "casual gamer," but he's got an addictive personality, so he doesn't know when to quit when he's on a loss streak.
