Hair & Eye Details
Charlotte has large doe eyes with long lashes that accent them. Her eyes are pale blue that sparkle in the sunlight; however, under dim lighting, they may appear almost grey as the light no longer reflects the brilliant colour.
Most of her hair sits on her shoulders, though the back stretches longer than the rest and dangles about halfway between her shoulder blades. It appears nearly white with blonde accents, but Charlotte's hair is naturally platinum-blonde.

Personality
+ Considerate
Charlotte will always put others above herself. Sometimes to a damaging degree. She knows how it feels to not have someone thinking about them or their feelings, and she never wants to place others in similar situations. So Charlotte will always have others's best interests at heart and will think about them before herself.
+ Empathetic
Because of her trauma, Charlotte is a lot more sensitive to other people's emotions. She can feel when other people's emotions shift from being positive to being negative or vice versa. In many ways, Charlotte could be deemed a sensitive as well as she is easily influenced by other emotions and will sometimes react instantly to them.

+ Genuine
Every action Charlotte does comes from her heart. She almost never acts in malice. She knows what it feels like to be sad and alone, so she does everything she can to give to others what no one gives in return to her. When she says something or does something for someone else, it is always genuine without an agenda. Charlotte merely just means it.
- Obedient
Since Charlotte always looks out for those around her rather than herself, she sometimes can be compliant with those people. She merely only wants them to be happy when she knows what it feels like not to be. Sometimes, to Charlotte, the only way she can keep someone happy is by obeying them even if she doesn't agree with what they ask.
- Pessimistic
Charlotte is her biggest critic. She always puts herself down or expects too much from herself. She finds it difficult to see the positives in her life and doesn't believe there is a light at the end of her tunnel. To Charlotte, she only sees the negative in things that revolve around her.
- Naive
Ever the people-please, Charlotte may sometimes overlook the negatives in others or harsh words said to her. May it be because of her age or education, regardless Charlotte will believe wholeheartedly the positives in a person before believing the negatives. She will just trust them, without question.

Elective One
Cooking
Charlotte enjoys cooking and baking. She likes the idea of providing for others and seeing their smiles as they enjoy the meals she creates. She selected this elective because she wanted to learn more about how to properly make meals; not only delicious but also appealing.
Elective Two
Botany
Charlotte loves plant life. In fact, she houses a mini garden in her dorm room. She selected the Botany class as her second elective because even though she has an understanding of taking care of her plants, she wanted a clearer idea of the science behind their behaviours and what best actions she can take to make them thrive.

TW: VERBAL/PHYSICAL ABUSE MENTION OF DEATH
Before
Charlotte sat on the floor before her Grandmother and pressed her back into her Grandmother's legs that draped over the sofa's cushions. Charlotte dipped her head back and peered up at the elderly woman, her bright blue eyes full of wonder and curiosity.
"Baba? May you tell me the story again? Of Mommy and Daddy?"
"Of course My Sweet Little Sunflower." The gentle rumble of her grandmother's voice soothed Charlotte as she closed her eyes. The sensation of her grandmother's hands stroking through her platinum-blonde hair further comforted Charlotte, causing her to slump more towards the floor.
"Hmm, let me see;
Elijah and Ava were considered the perfect couple among many of their peers. They were highschool sweethearts who got married young, bought a house together, and were inseparable from one another. They loved each other more than words could describe.
There came a day when Ava proposed to Elijah that they start their family and try to have children. Ava always wanted kids, she had already chosen names for them. Elijah, however, wanted to give all his love to only Ava. He hadn't considered having children because their lives were so perfect without the struggle of handling a new life. Alas, Elijah would give Ava anything if only for her to be happy. So Elijah eventually agreed."
But Ava was a fragile girl. Her body couldn't take the toll of baring new life. Ava got really sick, and this scared Elijah. He was petrified he would lose the love of his life. When Ava was in the hospital, Elijah never left her side. He sat next to her, watching as she slept holding onto her hand so tightly as to reassure her he was there. Sadly, Ava lost her baby."
The pause from the story caused Charlotte's eyes to open where she found her Grandmother peering down at her, a grieving expression on her face. Charlotte didn't understand such a complex emotion. She merely stared back at her Grandmother and asked, "What happened next?"
"Ava was devastated by her loss. For a few years, she seemed to have withered away. The once bright and happy daughter of mine crumbled into despair and sorrow. Elijah did everything to bring back her smile. He truly tried, but even he couldn't bring her out of her shell. Not until he suggested something he didn't want to do, but knew she desperately wanted. He offered her to try again.
At first, there was no difference in Ava's behaviour, she was still very depressed after her first loss. But eventually, Ava became pregnant again, and she seemed to shine once more. She cradled her belly and nurtured it. She was healthier and smiling, Elijah was beside himself with glee at her recovery. He showered her with affection and gifts."
The still of her Grandmother's strokes against her scalp caused Charlotte's eyes to flutter open again and stare questionably at her Baba. She appeared on the edge of tears, a thin line on her lips as though to hide her frown. "What's wrong Baba?" Charlotte asked, twisting around on the floor to peer more inquisitively at her Grandmother.
"This story never ends happily My Little Sunflower. No matter how many times I tell it." Charlotte listened as her Grandmother's voice wobbled, her sadness seemingly deepening with each word.
"I know Baba, but I want to understand why you and Daddy are so sad all the time."
"Well, My Dearest Little Sunflower, Elijah and I are sad because Ava can't be with us anymore. She ascended to heaven after giving us the miracle of you." Charlotte frowned, still very confused.
"But Baba, you said going to heaven isn't a bad thing. Why would you be sad if Mommy went to see God?" A soft smile of understanding stretched on Baba's lips.
"Because Dearest Charlotte, it was too soon for her to go."

After
"CHARLOTTE!"
Charlotte flinched, dropping the potted sapling in her hands to the floor. Her eyes widened as the crashing noise of the pot breaking rang in her ears. No.. No no no!! She knelt quickly on the floor, panic settling into her stomach as she frantically tried to scoop up the remains of the pot, dirt and sapling. Sharp edges cut into her hands and knees as she worked to clean the mess up before---
"CHARLOTTE!"
Her bedroom door whined on its hinges as it slammed into the wall behind it, deepening the hole that was already in the wall from repeat offence. Her terrified eyes looked up at her father, fear stilling her in place as he glared down at her, his chest heaving in deep breaths. He always looked like a monster to her whenever he was this angry. His hair was always a mess, fringing and unkempt. His stained clothes smelled of vomit and alcohol. To Charlotte, he looked like her nightmares, because Elijah was her nightmare.
"You pathetic girl!" Elijah yelled, grabbing Charlotte by the root of her hair and dragging her toward him, through the pile she just managed to semi-tidy up. "How many times must I tell you!?" He turned and tossed Charlotte out of her room and into the hallway of their rundown house. Tears welled in her eyes as she stared up at her father in horror. "You are nothing but a burden!"
"I'm sorry Fath--" Charlotte tried to stand on her wobbly legs as she hoped to calm her father, but the swift backhand to her cheek had her on the ground again. To her, it was as though his eyes shone red as they glared down at her. To her, Elijah grew several feet taller, looming over her like a deafening shadow. To Charlotte, this wasn't her father anymore but the devil's influence.
"I wish it was you who died, and not Ava." Elijah huffed as he stormed passed her, matching towards the living room where the TV static could still be heard. He left Charlotte on the floor where her body ached in more ways than one. But nothing matched the ache in her soul.
Slowly, Charlotte pulled herself up from the floor. Her hands and knees protested in pain as they silently wept down her arms and legs. She knew her father hated her. He showed it to her for the smallest of reasons. She knows Elijah blames her for her mother's death. After all, if she wasn't born, Ava would still be here. Charlotte dipped her head low as she made her way into her room and closed the door, falling back against it and slumping to the ground, her legs pressed in against her.
"I'm sorry Little Sunflower. I made you die like I made Mommy and Baba die..." Charlotte wept at the crumbled sapling on the floor.

Now
"Dad?"
Charlotte asked the man sitting on the couch. There Elijah was, still in the clothes he wore yesterday, fresh stains littering the white collar of the shirt. He sat there staring at the TV static as if watching his favourite channel. His eyes were dull and empty as they had been for days. He did not speak or even address Charlotte as she moved closer to him to peer more concerned at him.
"I have to get going Dad, I'm starting at this new school I applied for. I won't be home for a while, but I'll make sure to visit as often as I can! I'll continue to keep the house clean and make meals for you. I even left some money on the table for you so you can treat yourself to your favourite drink!"
Charlotte inspected her father as she spoke, faking a smile hoping for him to notice her and acknowledge her. But still, Elijah stared at the dying box TV that barely revealed an image on its screen. Charlotte sighed, frowning at her lost father. He reminded her of what she imagined Ava looked like when she lost her baby. He appeared so lifeless and without hope she wondered what she could do to bring life back to her father like in Baba's stories. Charlotte wishes she could give Ava back to him...
Charlotte dipped her head, a crease forming between her brows as she stepped away from Elijah. "I love you, Dad. I'll see you soon." She said as she grabbed her luggage and ventured out towards a new life.
A Better Life.
