At this point , it was way past midnight . Everyone was in their dorms by now . At least , they should've been . The peace and quiet , the crickets chirping , all of it was music to the doctor's ears . It was a perfect sound to close off a school day . He packed up for the night , locked the doors , and headed out of the clinic to go home . To get some shut eye .. He was looking forward to that . He loved the people there , he really did , but man did they give him a headache .

He loved looking at the night sky at this time . The stars seemed to shine the brightest . Holding his briefcase , he continued to walk through the stone path outside to get to his car . It was when he was halfway there , when he heard some rustling nearby . Maybe it was an animal ? He ignored it at first , but when it happened a second time , he had to see what was going on himself .

He opened his case with a click , taking out his flashlight . Going closer to the source of the sound , the light suddenly flashed on the area . Upon closer inspection , he realized that this wasn't an animal making noise -- it was a human .

❝︎ What on Earth are you doing out here so late ? ❞︎ he asked them , his brows furrowed . He wasn't mad in the slightest , just ... mildly confused .
