[googlefont=Roboto Slab] ❥ The sound of water surrounded her, the swimming pool a majestic swirl of blue colors that even danced against the walls. Her knees were drawn up to her chest, a small smile on her lips as she lost herself in the beauty of it. The world had moments like this where it felt like anything was possible...that magic existed. A soft sigh left her as she lifted the flip phone the 3 bullies had given her. It was just so they could call her whenever they needed something, or rather entertainment. They weren't always picking on her, sometimes it could be days before she had to bother with them which was nice. "What would happen if I dropped this into oblivion?" She held the phone out dangling it dangerously between her two fingers over chlorine water. Funnily enough, she had got locked in here by her own stupidity and the only people's numbers she had were the bullies. So she texted them asking for help. But as expected they didn't answer. "Maybe I should go swimming." She decided, her voice echoing within the indoor school pool. However her heart jolted when she heard the sound of someone coming in. Scrambling to her feet she rushed over, moving through the changing rooms to where she heard the door rattling. "Maybe I should go swimming." She decided, her voice echoing within the indoor school pool. However her heart jolted when she heard the sound of...someone coming in. Scrambling to her feet she rushed over, moving through the changing rooms to where she heard the door rattling. It opened and she expected to see one of the girls actually coming to her rescue, instead she saw a-a man! Well a teenage boy. Baseball cap, square thick rimmed glasses and wild hair. He was taller than her she could immediately tell but there was defining muscle mass beneath his clothes. He seemed clueless as he entered through an emergency door that was in the changing room. However blatedly she suddenly gasped probably shocking him with her presence as she rushed forward. "Wait don't let the door—!!" her shoulders slumped when it clicked shut, locking "—close..." She tried opening it anyways and sighed heavily as she realized...they were trapped. Glancing towards the other and only then did she realize how close she was to him. "Oops," she took two big steps away from him, nervously dusting down her skirt. "Um...so what are you doing here?" She tilted her head, looking confused. The locker room was dark, so she had no idea if it was the men's or women's, but there was 1 emergency light on towards the front so they had some light. Thread Details: Nora contacted Conor via texting, he had no idea how she got his number, she asked to meet up giving instructions that the back escape door was broken so he could enter, what he didn't know was that it was a one-way journey. She picked Conor because she believed he'd be desperate enough to do whatever she said. She sent 'help' like Osheen wanted just not what she needed. It's unclear if she'll make an appearance later in the thread to let them out of the Sportsplex.

Conor yawned as he walked in the cool night. He had trouble sleeping this night. So when he got a text of help from a number he didn't know, but just a location, he decided to just shrug and check it out. After a little conversation, he knew who it was. A popular chick, Nora. Now he was an idiot but really not that much of an idiot. He knew that no one as good-looking as her would actually contact him of all people for help. But curiosity took over. Plus, like at the end of it all, he could always get a workout in considering it was at the sportsplex.
He got to the backdoor and started to jiggle it to try and open up. After a second, he opened and walked in. It was dark like usual. It wasn't the first time he had used this way in. Nor would it be the last. Conor was a freak of nature with energy that was just unworldly. So he had definitely snuck in more than once to work out. But right as the door was almost closed, he heard a voice shout, "don't let it shut." Just as the latch of the door made its noise signaling that it was shut.
Conor looked down to see a brown-haired girl standing super close. He just stared at her for a moment before realizing that they were now both stuck in here, as he totally forgot to bring something to not let the door close fully. And if he did remember, the voice coming from the dark spooked him enough to not remember anyway.
When she asked what he was doing here, he took out his phone. As she took two big steps back, he held it out for her to look at, seeing the small text conversation with Nora. "Assumed it was a prank. But curiosity killed the cat. So I came anyway." He shrugged. Definitely not the brightest bulb in the shed. But hey, he made up for it with his body and endless energy.
He walked past her to look around. "Well I see now it isn't really a prank. But totally not what I expected either." He chuckled to himself, his laugh slightly echoing in the empty room. "So I'm assuming you got stuck in here then? Did she get you stuck in here?" he asked as he just sat down on a bench in the middle of the room, the slight glow of the emergency light reflecting off his glasses. He was stuck now, so might as well just relax, right? He was surprisingly calm despite knowing they were both stuck in here for who knows how long. Plus, like, she was sooooo close a second ago. And knowing how bad he was with women, it was a surprise to himself he didn't overreact either.

[googlefont=Roboto Slab] ❥ The guy didn't even hesitate, he just whipped his phone out to show his conversation. Blinking, she was a bit confused and maybe against her better judgement she reached to take the phone from his hands. She scrolled up and read it, bright white light illuminating her face as she did so. She didn't recognize Nora's number so she wouldn't have know who it was without reading the convo. Osheen's heart fell, it was stupid, she shouldn't have kept getting her hopes up with those girls. She gave him his phone back just as he began to wander the area with a confidence that made it seem like he'd done this before. The guy tried to play it cool, like he had come for curious sake, but any boy and their father would jump when Nora said, at least that's what she'd experienced so far. Still, he must have been disappointed when he came and saw it was just her. Maybe he was trying to spare her feelings. When he sat on the bench, Osheen plopped onto the floor getting comfortable too, even if it was......not a normal way of doing so. "I got stuck in here myself," she clarified and wanted to tease him, say something cool like 'and not by chasing pretty girls'. But she wasn't confident enough for something like that and plus she didn't know him. The reflection of his glasses gave him a creepy look, like a mad scientist kind of vibe. But she didn't mind because so far he hadn't given her a reason to be scared. "Your so calm though...you don't seem worried at all!"[attr="class","baizecreds"]nao © WW. Conor watched her as she plopped herself on the ground? Weird but whatever floated her boat, he guessed. Granted their situation now, he didn't blame her. Stuck in here with a stranger probably wasn't the most ideal situation. But Conor was so harmless it wasn't even funny. He barely waved his hands at flies when he was on the baseball field to shoo them away.
He did get a decent look at her now that she wasn't so close. Even in this dim light, and the light from his phone when he took a glance back at her when she was looking at his convo. She was actually really cute. To his surprise, he hadn't even blushed once. Even if he did, it probably wouldn't be noticed considering the light glow of the exit sign was red. Luckily for him. Cause he had no idea if he was or not. But his head didn't feel hot at all. So that was a good sign. He looked away for a moment to seem like he wasn't creeping as he just looked down at his phone to see the time.
"Yea I've snuck in here a lot when I couldn't sleep. Mostly just to work out and exhaust myself." he replied to her as he looked over at her. "So I was used to this. Being stuck in here. Plus it was quite peaceful by the pool. Seeing the water reflecting off the walls by the lighting. Just something about it that calmed me down after a nice work out." he sheepishly laughed, a bit embarrassed about something like that. Maybe that reflection reminded him of home? After all, being on a lot of travel teams back home for baseball in really nice towns by the ocean just made him fall in love with that vibe of water reflecting on walls.
"But one does not just get stuck in here without being, you know, super dumb. Like that's something I would do?" he tilted his head at her, questioning her. As it truly would be something he would do. He would plead with the person locking up to let him finish his practice before they locked the building. And he 99% of the time lost track of time and the guard would think he had left and lock the place up. Again, not the brightest in the shed.
But he did keep looking back at her, clearly making it obvious that he thought she was cute. Conor was a nightmare with girls, especially with ones he found attractive. Like this brown-haired girl sitting on the floor. He was one that just couldn't keep his eyes off them. Mostly cause he was an idiot and didn't know he could just take quick glances or just look at them from the corner of his eye. 99.9% of his brain power was focused on sports. Hence why he was such an innocent idiot.

[googlefont=Roboto Slab] ❥ The guy stared at her maybe longer than most, but the teen was oblivious to it, at least for now. Curiously she noted his mentioning of insomnia, but it was soon taken over by the thought of a nice warm soft bed. What she wouldn't give to feel that kind of comfort surrounding her. She was tired of the cold, damn hard floor, especially with winter coming. Her original plan had been to make a friend and have 'sleepovers' per say, but so far she had zero luck in that department. Which should have been expected, she never really had any friends before, why would that change now. Osheen sighed, caught in her own thoughts and looking a bit grumpy. There was Dottie of course, but her bestie from kindergarten hadn't been around since she last caught her painting, plus it'd bring out too many questions and she couldn't risk Dottie finding out her secret. However, his comment about the water had her gazing back up at him with wide eyes of interest. "I like that too!" She announced, a bit too loudly for the echo-y locker room. "The water," she gestured a bit awkwardly from her fumble. "In the pool I mean." She blushed looking dorky as she did so. "But one does not just get stuck in here without being, you know, super dumb. Like that's something I would do?"Osheen's mouth dropped open. "Y-You just called me super dumb?" She gasped, and crossed her arms feeling flustered and mad all at the same time. "I'll have you know, I do lots, a great many dumb things on a daily bases and I'm proud of them all." She really had no idea where she was going with this, in fact she was pretty sure she was making an even bigger clown of herself than before. "Enough about me mister, I don't even know your name." She decided to bully him back. "What kind of nonsense is that," she gave a soft humph noise turning her head from him and her nose up in the air, but oddly her heart felt better. Osheen had been upset before then calmed by the water then upset again when he first appeared instead of Nora actually helping...but not being alone anymore was really nice. Conor looked at her as she blurted out, or at least that is what he thought considering she technically was agreeing with him that she was super dumb? Conor just started to laugh super hard at her words. As he just couldn't believe what he heard. "Then I'm in good company then. Cause I too am proud of every stupid decision." he got out through his chuckles.
Honestly Conor got along with the weirder kids more than he did with his own teammates. Probably cause they didn't judge as much as others knowing they are on the outside looking in. Plus Conor is pretty weird himself so he fits right in.
"uhhh the best kind of nonsense duh." he chuckled. As he got up from the bench and squatted in front of her as he had a giant smile on his face, mostly from calming down from laughing but also cause she seemed fun to talk to from this very short conversation so far. "I'm Conor." he said with a slight laugh.
After introducing himself he put his hand on his knees as he stood up, straightening himself out. "Now how about we get out of this dingy locker room and go hang somewhere better. Like the place with all those ripples on the wall from the reflection" he shrugged as he started to walk out of the locker room towards the pool as he didn't even wait for a response. Hoping she would follow but if she didn't that was fine. He was gunna go sit at the pool and enjoy himself until the doors were unlocked.

[googlefont=Roboto Slab] ❥ Osheen's cheeks darkened when he cackled at her. Not a soft laugh but a full blown laughing at her. Oooh, he reminded her of her brother she wanted to ruff his hair aggressively! But when he said she was good company she settled down from her ruffled state. A small smile peeked at the corner of her lips and she seemed satisfied. She liked him, he wasn't so bad maybe Nora was looking out for her after all. When he got up and crouched right in front of her his big wide smile, glasses catching the light she nearly flopped backwards. "I'm Conor." He introduced himself all cool like before standing and saying even more cool stuff. By this point Osheen was a bit star struck with this guy. With a muffled sound she scrambled to her feet to catch up with him. "I-I'm Osheen" she chirped out, standing on her tippy toes a bit as she did so but soon her lilac eyes were back on the pool. It certainly looked way more pretty with good company. "What kind of workout do you do when in here?" She asked, thinking about their earlier conversation. "I have trouble sleeping too sometimes, I'm a night owl I think." She gave an affirmative nod, one that really wasn't needed but she did it anyways. [attr="class","baizecreds"]nao © WW. He looked at the pool as he just glanced to his side seeing the girl. Now in a bit better light she really was pretty. Even more so in light reflecting off the pool. If Conor was ever to fall in love at first sight it probably would be like something right now. Not that he would with this girl. But right now, she was beautiful. her purple eyes almost reflecting back the pool in her eyes. "Well nice to meet you Osheen." he smiled down at her. As he looked back at the pool. Still surprising himself that he hasn't totally been burning up by blushing seeing her now in better lighting.
Conor looked around and shrugged to himself. As he knelt down taking his shoes off. As he placed them behind him. As he sat down and let his feet dangle in the water. As he leaned back letting his arms support him from behind. "Well I usually go shoot around a basketball in the courts. Could always use the extra practice to get better." he looked up at her with a slight smile. "Always something to improve that's is for sure." he added before looking down into the depths of the pool. With that last statement she could probably put one and two together that he was on the basketball team.
"Always something...." he trailed off as he was deep in thought in the matter of seconds. Thinking back to the game that had ended their season the year before. He was at fault. Even if his team never said so. Conor was always super hard on himself when it came to sports. Probably because of his pops and his will to turn Conor into some prodigy. So when he wasn't around to yell at Conor. Conor made up for it by being overly harsh on himself. Before he sunk even deeper into those nasty thoughts he shook his head to rid himself of those thoughts right now.
"So a night owl huh. I would say I'm probably one. But most of the time I work myself to the bone each day that I pass out." he chuckled as he was right back to his happy go lucky self. But for a moment if she was paying attention to him, she would see a crack in that facade. As he lifted a leg out of the water letting it drip off. As he looked at her. "So you get into any more trouble or do you just like getting trapped in places?" he chuckled.
