[attr="class","textieno"]Oakwood Hall was completely transformed into a massive cooking competition! Many of the tables that normally lined the hall were now pushed against the walls, with their four chairs hanging from them in a neat order. Rows upon rows of booths now lined Oakwood Hall where several students of Panacea Academy partnered up with their friends for a cook-off!
Charlotte stood at one of the booths, already having begun her cooking endeavours. She was alone; however, her partner, unfortunately, was running late to the competition. She hadn't realized the reasoning at first, she and her partner had been chosen by the culinarian teacher to part-take in the competition for extra credits. But as the event supervisor noticed Charlotte was alone, they took it upon themselves to discover her partner was merely running late.
Charlotte needed the extra credits. She was always running late on most of her assignments and sometimes to class. Her life was busy, and this school was huge. She never felt like she had enough time to do everything she needed and was required to do. Her eyes focused intently on the bowl in her hand as she mixed it vigorously. She wanted to place high in this competition if only to get back on the better side of her culinarian teacher. She didn't need to be first, but the top 5 sounded okay to her!
The idea almost seemed impossible to Charlotte as she looked around at her competitors. Everyone had a partner aside from her, each person taking on a different task while Charlotte had only herself to rely on. Her brows pinched together, dread setting in her stomach as her eyes turned down at her bowl again. She needed to come up with something if only to give herself and her partner an edge until they got here!
Glancing over at the freshly made mini hotdogs she had whipped up quickly, Charlotte came up with a plan she hoped wasn't considered cheating. "H-Hey!" She called to one of the students she assumed was one of the awaiting judges. "Would you like one of these appetizers? I bet waiting around and smelling all this food is making you hungry!" She laughed, pulling her smiling into a carefree and joyful expression. "I'm sure if you tried one now, no one would mind. I've made plenty after all!"
