His luggage sat pathetically by the door, neatly packed like some damn eviction notice! The Housemaster stood there, holding up his hands like Gael was some kind of bomb about to go off. And he’d be right. “You little pu**y!” He roared, slamming his fist against the door. He could practically see that sniveling little worm, Steven, cowering behind his bed. Like he’d ever even threatened the guy—what a joke. The little sh*t-face! “All right, that’s enough.” The Housemaster’s voice cut through, his grip tightened on Gael’s shoulder as he hauled him away from the door. “We’re not doing this. Calm down.” Gael jerked his shoulder free while the Housemaster positioned himself between him and the door. “You’ve been switched to room nine, Gael. It’s done. Grab your stuff and go before this turns into something worse.” One thing after another. His life was really falling to sh*t. He ran a hand over his face, biting down the fury simmering just beneath the surface. He stalked down the hallway, dragging his luggage behind him. A whole goddamn month wasted on getting things right with Steven, and now he had to start all over again. Fantastic. When he finally got out of here, out of this nightmare, the money had better be worth it. That house he’d been promised—he’d better be staring at a white picket fence and a perfect lawn. Because, if he wasn’t, he was going to kill that bastard. He wouldn’t stop short of murder. He couldn't even remember the guy's name, that's how much of an impression he made. The Housemaster stepped in front of him, effectively blocking his exit from extending any further down the hall. “Room 9, Gael.” His voice had that patronizing edge to it as he grabbed Gael and spun him around, pointing him to some douche already standing in the doorway of—well, would you look at that— Room Nine. Gael yanked out of the guy’s grip for the second time in, what, five f**king minutes? “What the f**k is your problem?”The Housemaster had opened his mouth to start introductions, but Gael’s well-timed swearing cut him off. The older man sighed, slowly pulling his glasses off to give them a tired, annoyed polish. “You know what, Mr. Honora?” His voice remained calm as he carefully placed his glasses back on and fixed Gael with a scrutinizing gaze. Then, “ Detention!” “Oh, yeah, great. I’m shaking in my boots.” Gael drawled, furious but paused long enough to glance at the Housemaster’s scruffed shoes. A smirk suddenly made its way across his mouth as he made an exaggerated gesture to his own pristine, expensive black military boots, practically gleaming under the hallways’ florescent lighting. He grabbed his luggage, but the moment his eyes landed on his new roommate, he froze. Turning on his heel he jetted the f**k out of there. Shutting the door loudly he snapped the lock shut and stepped inside. Taking off his clothes, he changed into sleepwear, black wife-beater shirt, and sweat pants. [break][break] Nicolas spent 30 mins exactly going over some notes for school tomorrow, before climbing into his bed to lay down. He waited another 30 minutes, eyes trained on the door, the light on his nightstand illuminating the walls of the room. But Gael never returned.[break][break] He had this feeling, that he was waiting for him to go to sleep. But that was too f**king suspicious. Still, brown eyes narrowed on the only way in and out of the room...and without a word, he sitting with his back against his bedframe atop the blankets he turned off the only light in the room and waited.[break][break] Nicolas closed his eyes resting, listening to the sounds of the dorm.
