Fifteen, turning sixteen this month. Scorpio. Girl with a big heart, locked up deep inside her chest. Long, skinny fingers, chronically cold to the touch. Angry, sort of. At who? Herself, mostly. Takes it all out on everyone else.

FRIENDSHIPS
YOU'LL NEVER FEEL THE HEAT OF THIS SOUL

To say that Ava has trust issues when it comes to friendships would be an understatement. The only friends she's ever had aside from her Nana were either girls she was competing with at ballet, boys who were trying to get with her, and the girls those boys were cheating on... who promptly spread rumours about her. She can't really blame them, but hey, what happened to hoes before bros? Or whatever the phrase is. She just started attending Panacea this year, and so far, her best friend is a particularly nice bench halfway between Silverbranch Dormitory and the Sportsflex.

What Ava needs in a friend is someone who can help her trust again, somebody with enough gumption to dismantle her walls bit by bit. She's not likely to approach people first unless she wants something from them, which means a couple of things. Either (a) you're standing in her way, literally, or (b) she's looking to fish for compliments. A friend of Ava's needs to know she'll probably flex wherever possible, in a sort of underhanded way. With guys, this goes a little further. She's not used to platonic relationships with guys who aren't interested in something more, and is pretty skeptical of their (and anyone else's, tbh) intentions. Prove her wrong! Please!

She is a good and gentle friend once her walls are broken down. I think a true friend (whatever that looks like) would probably be the only person she'd allow to see her as she really is.

ADVERSARIES
MY FEVER BURNS ME DEEPER

Maybe you're sick of the way she swans around the place in stuffy silence, something you're sure could only be the result of her not so secret superiority complex. Or maybe her dad and his shady business tactics are encroaching on your or your family's business. You might have friends that attend a certain inner city private day school who told you about Ava Mc Brearty, the bike. Ava Mc Brearty, the bitch. And you're loathe to see her ruin the lives of everyone at Panacea like she did back in her old school. Or she might've just snapped at you some day for no good reason. God, she's so stuck up!

Maybe this is an old dance class rivalry brought back to the forefront by an unhappy reunion.

AFFECTIONS
THAN I'VE EVER SHOWN TO YOU

In lieu of any attention from her parents, Ava was quick to try to make up for it by flitting from guy to guy. Her self esteem is stupidly low in truth, and on a particularly bad day, she'll flirt with anyone. It's a little sad, a little desperate, but it, and some under the table alcohol, is one of the only ways she knows how to pretend everything is alright. She'll almost never go back to someone a second time because the solace she gets from it is incredibly fleeting. Afterwards, she just feels embarrassed. So, exes and flings are open. Probably not current, because she came to Panacea for a fresh start, but some old faces she never thought she'd see again could be fun! In terms of real romance, I'd love to see someone maybe try to break her streak. Like, someone who pursues her and sees worth there where she doesn't see it for herself. Or maybe they're both messy and can't get enough of each other, and it's an endless cycle of back and forths, and she hates it because she's trying to be better.
