[attr="class","fonteffects"]OVERVIEW
PERSONALITY
To the general public, Hayato is seen as any regular delinquent. Brash, in your face, unafraid of what trouble his stance may cause. Which sort of isn't quite far from the actual truth. He'll slouch in his chair, scowl at the teachers he doesn't like, and sometimes toss out a couple of sarcastic comments in their direction. He isn't afraid to speak his mind, even if half the time he really should mind his tongue. This is partially the reason as to why he's called to the directors office to the point that the man just sighs whenever he has to deal with Hayato. It isn't that he's aggressive or anything of the sort, he just likes to rile the teachers up.
He enjoys being a bit of an instigator, jabbing the truth into people who deserve a wakeup call. On the inside, however, he's actually a very kind and gentle person that could easily be considered selfless by those who take the time to get to know him. He's that kind of guy that'll save a kitten off the street from getting run over without really thinking that, hey. cars could hit you in the process, guy. This makes him fairly selfless in that regard, but there have been moments in time where he can be pretty stubborn about certain things. He's sociable, enjoying his free time whenever he possibly can with friends at local restaurants and karaoke bars. He likes having a good time, living the moment like it's his last with a fairly nonchalant attitude.
Hayato doesn't generally have a short temper, unless it has something to do with those whom he considers friends. Being protective to a fault, he will put his foot down if he manages to witness any sort of injustice. He's pretty outspoken, believing that everyone should have a voice about their feelings. Even if that makes him a bit of a hypocrite. While he doesn't enjoy cutting ties, he's not one to cling onto someone to keep their bond together. He will let people go if they desire to leave, however, those who do stay beside him he'll cherish in his own way. Yato is pretty down to earth, despite how stubborn he can be at times.

HISTORY
Originally, Hayato wasn't expected like his siblings were. The firstborns were brought into this world with a golden spoon and bowl before they could even gargle their first word. Yato, on the other hand, didn't. He'd been an 'oops'. Not the good oops, either. You see, his father worked as a very high end and extremely sophisticated wine company owner while his wife owned her own jewelry line for brides. Due to being very well known and wealthy they could easily afford a nanny for the times they weren't present. Which, to Hayato's dismay, happened very often. Too often.
In contrast, his siblings had already bloomed and blossomed into the purebred lifestyle that had been chugged down their throats before Hayato started school. By the time he entered elementary his brother had invented some sort of machine that increased the productivity of wine in a shorter amount of time for their fathers industry. Whatever that meant. And Hayato's sister had become a model, becoming relatively popular among the younger generation, eventually resulting in her very own fashion line. Hayato?
He struggled with getting good grades at the very least by the end of the semester. He wasn't the child prodigy his parents expected him to be. He wasn't the child who gained all of the talent. He wasn't much of anything, really. With everyone's focus on everything else, Hayato really didn't obtain his portion of golden apples for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This served as a makeshift window for the teenager who wanted nothing more than to detach himself from such a boring lifestyle. 'You have everything!' his peers often yelped in glee, 'Even a car!'. Oh yeah. That.
Damn thing his father 'surprised' him with because each of his children had to look presentable no matter what. It didn't matter if he got good grades, bad grades, fought with the next door neighbor because his dog pooped in the hallway. None of that mattered. All that truly mattered? Had always been what everyone else had to say about them. So many cocktail parties, ties, stilettos, pounds of makeup, and many gatherings Hayato skipped out on because he felt sick to his stomach and, for the sake of not being late, his parents went along with it.
They knew full well that Hayato wasn't cut out for their way of living, but what they hadn't been expecting took the shape of a snap. Not the: oh let's have an argument because that's what parents do with their children, kind of snap. I mean a full blown: get out of my house because I never want to see your face again, kind of snap. Disowned. And for what? Frankly, even Yato doesn't remember the details, but he did state that he'd grown tired of the façade he constantly needed to live in. And his parents, being the stuck up rich people they are, took offense to that. And Hayato felt just fine with it.
What kind of person could possibly shed a single care about a family that didn't even bother congratulating him on his birthday, or telling him 'good job' for scoring at the top of his class? Why should he care if they didn't even bother sending him text messages? They never bothered to be home, or even tell him that they decided to go out for dinner that night and no one told Hayato anything? He'd always been an afterthought, and that's just fine with him. He managed to create stronger bonds that transcend any sort of family tie and they are the only ones Hayato will ever need.
Oh, and if you're wondering about the car? He sold it. Living expenses don't pay themselves after all. His father sends him money from time to time just to have a clean conscience, probably because his wife pushed him to do so. For now, he's been saving as much as he possibly can, only buying what he really needs. And maybe spoiling his friends every now and then. He did buy a motorcycle with that money, though. If that counts as anything.

FORMAL he truly doesn't enjoy dressing up for parties and the like, but if he's forced to, he will go for something along the lines of turtle necks and blazers.
