His silver rings glinted under the buzz of the fluorescent lights as he took a heavy breath. F**K! He jerked back, kicking the metal surface with the toe of his shoe before shoving a hand into his front pocket and storming down the hallway. Get it together, you F**K. He internally raged, gnawing against his thumbnail. Son of a bitch had really gotten a rich life, fancy clothes, gourmet food, hadn't he? Make his life a living hell. Torment him, screw him over—. A half-crazed scoff escaped his lips as he raked his hands through his bangs, tossing his hair back. Get to the finish line, He reminded himself of the “goal”—the reason he was even here, stuck here for two years in this pile of trash. Speaking of which, the sole of his shiny black shoes came down upon a crinkled, open sketchbook left abandoned on the hallway floor. It was the sketch of none other than himself that had him removing his shoeprint to carelessly snatch the booklet up. “The f**k?” He laughed, though he had to admit, seeing his ugly mug, he wasn’t half-bad as a—. The pages were littered with doodles, sketches of people he even recognized from his classes. Then there was this one guy, accompanied by actual photographs—some dude in senior gear with purple eyes. Shit, the guy actually looked a lot like his brother, especially that f**king smug face. Caleb had always been one to keep a close eye on his belongings. Most of the time, anyway. However, after he had slipped his bag onto his shoulder, he hadn't realized he had accidentally left the zipper open. This caused all of the contents to slip out, and among those things, had been his trusty notebook he kept with him at all times. He thought that'd be the end of it. Sadly, the moment he double checked inside of his classroom he realized something had been missing. Something important. Something that caused those usually pale cheeks to shift towards something similar to the reddest apple anyone has ever set their sights on.[break][break]
He scrambled through the hallway, doing his best to locate the missing item. He did his best to make a recollection of the past few minutes, attempted to mentally pinpoint where he could've left it. That is, until his steps reached a screeched halt at one end of the corridor. His heart sank straight to his feet once he saw his precious notebook in someone else's hands, and his whole face became drained of color. His mouth dried up. What if he ended up ... — he wanted to disappear, but alas. "Oh, hey!" he called out as he made his way towards the familiar blond not too far from where he originally stood. [break][break]
His voice carried through the empty corridor along with the slight squeak of his sneakers on tiles. "Sorry, that's.. mine, actually. I kind of lost it. I mean, it's really important, so maybe I shouldn't have in the first place, but.. a-anyway, is it okay if I have it back?" he inquired as he rubbed his hand against the side of his neck. Caleb wasn't necessarily this person's friend, not by any means, but deep down he hoped he didn't end up with a new bully under his belt. He seemed to have picked up a couple of those throughout his school year a little more often than he liked.

Initially, Caleb had assumed that his notebook could be retrieved and that'd be the end of it. No issues at all, no problems, no nothing. That he could just walk away after the exchange and he wouldn't need to face his classmate about this little incident. However, life had a peculiar way of working against him far more often than not and this time it came in the form of a thwack right on the head. Large eyes blinked repeatedly in utter confusion just before Caleb reached to rub the very same spot. "Ow, huh..?" he hadn't planned for this, much less someone he normally gets to see on regular days. [break][break]
He brought forth a slight frown in a concerned manner, but he did his best to replace it with a brighter one. At least somewhat, anyway. "I mean.. I don't really have any money on me right now, but I could get you some tomorrow? My mom doesn't really get paid until the weekend, but I'm sure she'll lend me some." he attempted to bargain with his companion as best he could. Those drawings couldn't get out into the open. It'd spell potential trouble for his totur if it did.. and that's something Calbe just couldn't allow to happen. No matter the cost.

How on Earth did he end up in such a predicament?[break][break]
Originally, Caleb just wanted to get to his classroom, to get through the day, to go home. A normal and boring day. However, life never seemed to work in his favor by the looks of things. The way that his classmate used his beloved notebook as ransom made his stomach sink to the pits of his stomach. How did he get here? Caleb's lips turned into a frown as he rubbed his arm. "I would give you some money now, but I don't get paid until the end of the month." he uttered apologetically. Despite his suggestions, it became apparent that wasn't what his companion sought. [break][break]
Large eyes blinked in rapid succession at the game plan Caleb needed to follow. "So.. that means.." he trailed off and listened. Right then his sneakers seemed a lot more interesting whilst the teen digested what he'd been forced to accept. All for the sake of secrecy. He mulled over the words, allowed them to sink and settle into the pits of his stomach before he answered a with a soft huff. "Don't call him that. He has a name, you know.." slim brows furrowed. He didn't show a single sliver of care when the situation revolved around himself, but when it came to Johnny recieving an ugly nicknmae, well.. that ended up being a completely different case entirely. "His name is Johnny. And if it feeds your ego that much, fine. I'll do what you want." Caleb sneered in displeasure while he maintained that soured expression. He really didn't like any of this at all, but .. he'll do it. For Johnny's sake.

Scrawny’s timid azure eyes narrowed as he tried to stare him down. And Gael just smirked, satisfied with the opportunity that had conveniently landed right under the sole of his shoe. Flunking his classes had been a real possibility, but now, thanks to this kid's reluctant help, that was one less headache to deal with. “Good boy.” Gael praised, ruffling his hair like he was some obedient puppy. “Me and you? Anyone who knew Caleb on a personal level could very much agree that whenever he became angered over something it became the equivalent of something. That something being the mental image of an angry kitten. Caleb narrowed his gaze, furrowed his brows, and tried his best to look as intimidating as he could muster, which.. wasn't much at all. He wasn't intimidating by any means, but he tried at the very least. [break][break]
"I'm not a dog." he grumbled in protest as he reached for his sketchbook. Leave it up to Caleb to rope himself into these types of predicaments in the first place.
