GAMING CLUB
You wander into a part of the school that you thought to be abandoned. Inside, you see - actually, could you give me a perception check, difficulty of ten?
*clack*
Seventeen clears it. Okay, you see a lot in this room, actually. The most obvious thing are the computers and the TVs, there's two of each, though they're not in use right now. One of the TVs is hooked up to four different game consoles, each at least three generations behind. An arcade fightstick sits on an empty chair, gathering dust. To your right, four students are playing a bizarre card game, each with their own, towering decks. They're currently in the midst of a wildly animated argument over which of them is 'the threat'. Meanwhile - which of them is it? I mean, I guess you could roll but it's not really -
*clack*
Damn gurl, that's a waste of a nat twenty. It's the guy who has his quarter of the table covered in cards, he's screaming that he's not the threat with all the wounded indignance of a guilty man. Anyways, to your left is a diorama of a war-torn forest. A woman with platinum blonde hair and golden eyes is meticulously placing individual aquarium pebbles at the base of a crumbling stone watchtower, trying to create the illusion of fallen rubble as a freshman hovers over her shoulder and babbles about a man named Zenos and lauds his spectacular good looks and complex character depth. The woman looks up and sees you, and - sure, roll sense motive for me.
*clack*
No worries, an eight is enough. You can see relief wash over her as she moves to approach. You have freed her and given her the excuse she needs to talk to someone else about anything else. She pulls down the carpentry mask she was wearing and smiles as she greets you.
"Hi, welcome to the Gaming Club! I'm President Bonnie, I run things here. Were you looking to join?"
What do you do?
The Gaming Club is a little oasis for people to indulge their love of play. While the name implies a focus on videogames due to the modern use of the word, the Gaming Club is a place for all kinds of gaming. Board games card games, wargames, tabletop roleplaying games and more are all welcomed and encouraged, with events and special nights organized for each to try and get more foot traffic and public participation.
Founded by senior Bonnie Pendrick, the Gaming Club is in its infancy, and its numbers are currently few. Their primary goal is getting as many people aware of the club as possible.
HOW TO JOIN
● Reply to the topic below or message me! I'd be more than happy to discuss your character joining or already being a member.
MEMBERS |
PRESIDENT: Bonnie Pendrick
● As the founder and leader of the Gaming Club, Bonnie's responsibilities include basically all administrative functions necessary for keeping the club running, as well as arbitrating any disagreements and organizing most events and get-togethers. Other members are welcomed and encouraged to plan and throw events of their own, but nothing gets done without getting approved by her first.
TREASURER: @name
● Gaming is an expensive hobby, and a club doesn't have bottomless funding. The treasurer's job is to run fundraisers for the club, scrounge together new material for the club's public use, take inventory of the games, cards and materials they have, and poll members for things they'd like to see added to the club.
SPONSOR: @name
● Someone on the faculty was crazy enough to sign off on this. It could even be YOU! Do you dare to take responsibility for a school club full of gamers?
MEMBER: River Song , urijah anderson , @name
● Members are encouraged to organize play sessions and put forward ideas for events and games they'd like to see organized, but it's not mandatory. If you're just here for a weekly game of cards or to have friendlies with people on Fightcade, that's totally fine too.
PHARAOH LEAP.
