He has his hands in a variety of extracurricular activities, tutors peers that struggle with their schoolwork, and recently started volunteering at the local animal rescue in town. In other words, a busy busy bee that somehow maintains some semblance of a social life despite his schedule. [break] [break] What they don’t see is the anxiety threatening to pull him under at any minute, shackling him to a perpetual sense of not being enough. He needs to be better, do better, to prove he is worth even the smallest amount of affection and care that he is shown. It manifests in a soft-spokenness that could make him seem shy in a crowd, and an unfortunate need to please anyone who gives him positive attention. [break][break] Note: Only his closest friends know he is a transman. [break] [break] General plot hooks.[break] [break] Tutoring.[break] Students struggling with one subject or another could find themselves being pointed in Farrah’s direction. And as the chronic people pleaser he is, Farrah would never be able to say no. His tutoring method is calm, with just a tiniest hint of strictness to it- if he is taking time out of his schedule to do this, then he expects some level of effort in return. This is probably the one and only time he’s found actually enforcing any boundaries, and it's solely for the betterment of their future and not his own comfort. That is to say, he will refuse to do another student's coursework for them, or help them cheat. [break] [break]Dressage members.[break] Anyone who is a part of the dressage club at Panacea has a pretty clean in to interact with Farrah. He spends a rather impressive amount of time at the stables, and will happily yap about horses to anyone with half a mind to listen. He has his own horse stabled at school, so anyone found showing care towards her will be appreciated, just don’t feed her too many carrots or sugar cubes. Oh, and Farrah could be convinced to let non-dressage members ride Calluna as well, an impromptu horse-riding lesson, if you will. Between his anxiety, trying to keep himself together and his dislike for small talk, he can come off as being overly serious, a goodie-two-shoes and a bit of a killjoy. Rest assured, he has a silly and childish side too, but it primarily comes out around people he trusts, and those are in short supply. [break] [break] Note: Farrah is a foreign student who enrolled into the academy at the beginning of his sophomore year. [break] [break] Friendly plot hooks. [break] [break] Found family. [break]I am a sucker for found family plots, and with the current state of events in Farrah’s life (miserable home life, pregnant), he could really use a village right about now. It’s not a plot I expect would happen overnight, but if your character is inclined to want to soft-adopt a very sad boy and receive his undying love and loyalty in turn, then have at it. [break] [break] Book club. [break] Unofficial, that is. Farrah loves books, and would happily spend his free time in the library or with friends yapping about books they’ve read. And thus, I think it’d be really cute to have an unofficial book club of sorts. People that just chit chat quietly in the library about books, maybe buddy-reads together and discusses.. all the things book clubs discuss about books. |

He has a multitude of things that would make him scared of someone, but very few ways to make him hate. [break] [break] In fact the only true way to invoke Farrah’s ire is to target his friends and loved ones. Of those he is fiercely protective, though his protection does not amount to very much. Farrah is neither particularly strong, nor threatening looking, and he is prone to falling into tears at any and all intense negative emotions. [break] [break]Enemy plot hooks. In Farrah’s own mind he is nothing but a broken sculpture, haphazardly glued together by a schedule so full he doesn’t have the time to fall apart. Pretty to look at, but requiring so much upkeep that he could not in good conscience put anyone through a relationship with him. Yet fearing becoming a burden has not made him immune to wanting to be wanted, to the point of being willing to bend into a hollow semblance of himself to ensure he is appealing, conflating self-worth with desirability after years of being reminded his looks are his only virtue. He will endure nearly anything to feel a sliver of affection and safety, even when he knows it’s nothing but a dangerous ruse. [break] [break] Note: Farrah vastly prefers older men, and would not under any circumstance date someone his own age or younger. So all of these are 17+ because of that. [break] [break] Romantic plot hooks [break] [break]Flings. [break]Charming men who are looking for an easy mark will find no difficulty in persuading him, seeing as he is susceptible to compliments and quite naive when it comes to being manipulated. A word of warning though; due Farrah’s extremely unhealed past sexual trauma, consent will be leaning towards being dubious at best. This is also not an unlimited plot hook, as I don't think Farrah would have a whole lot of situationships. [break] [break]Accidental teen pregnancy. [break]Although he will only become aware of this in November (PA time), Farrah is currently pregnant. Logically that means there is a currently unaware baby father out there, and that is a position I am soft-opening for anyone who is mildly interested in some potential teen pregnancy drama. This is a very ‘he can be as involved as you’d like him to be’ plot hook, so long as we talk about it in DMs or on discord beforehand. I don't mind if it is someone who does not attend PA, or is an adult. [break] [break]Relationship pursuits. [break]Although it promises to be a difficult ride, I am open to romantic plots as well. It could be abusive, it could be romantic, it could even attempt to be healthy and wholesome on some levels. For a relationship to form though, this man needs to either be incredibly charismatic, or have finagled his way through Farrah’s many and varied attempts at pushing him away. Also nice with children, potentially. Anyway, it’s an option, and it could be fun! |
