 Urijah had just finished at the gaming club and had made his way towards the dorms. He had been trying to get in touch with his friends and couldn't help but think the easiest way to see one would be to go to his dorm and see if he was there. As soon as he walked down the hall, he found it a bit nerve wreaking the closer he got to James' dorm. Is this stalking? Maybe I should have texted him first? But I ignored him all summer, I wanted to surprise him in person? Will he even want to see me? He thought to himself as he slowed down. He turned towards James' door and knocked. After a few minutes he knocked again. James wasn't coming to the door and he couldn't help but feel a bit worried that he might not want to see him after all. He started pondering where James might be at if not in his dorm, since there was a high chance that he wasn't ignoring him. He suddenly turned when he heard a noise from behind him, only to see it was Caleb. "Hello." He answered awkwardly in greeting.

Caleb sighed as he made his way back to the dorms. Todays lessons had been extra specialized in frying brains it seemed, so by the time the day had ended, he just wanted to flop face first onto his bed. It wasn't that the material hadn't been interesting to him, but rather he had so many things bobbling about in his head that he just couldn't sit still for very long. He had to take care of so many things, including getting his costume together before the festival. Sure, he had something in mind he wanted to use, but he wasn't necessarily sure it'd work out in time. [break][break]
He had asked his mother to grab him a couple of things from town the next time she found herself shopping with her friends, so that definitely helped him along in regards to some of the items he needed. Putting together everything seemed to have proved itself to be a challenge, and now the last hurdle he needed to face ended up being the most important one: the mask. With all of these things running laps in his head, he hadn't realized where he had been going and almost collided with someone on his way to the dorm room. [break][break]
Sneakers squeaked to a halt the moment he looked up from his phone, which he had been skimming through in order to catch up with various conversations on different platforms. "S-Sorry!" he apologized as he tucked his phone back into his pocket. "Almost ended up running you over. Didn't mean to." he rubbed the side of his neck, only to glance over at the direction in which the individual had been seemingly facing. [break][break]
"Oh, I don't there's anyone there yet. They're not usually in around this time. Haven't really met them yet, but I hear them from time to time. Sort of like a pattern by now. Oh, but you don't want to know about that. Sorry, I'm ranting your ear off already. I'm Caleb! Yooooou're..." he finally paused in order to let the other person speak. They more or less fit the description Cyrus had offered in regards to some of the individuals he had met already, but he needed to be sure before he made an utter fool of himself. If he hadn't already with his constant yapping, that is.

Urijah watched as Caleb slipped his phone back into his pocket. "It's alright." He answered with a chuckle as Caleb rubbed the side of his neck. He glanced back towards James' dorm when Caleb mentioned his opinion on James' routine. "Ah. I see." He mumbled, grateful for the information. I should have figured to check the other spots first. He thought to himself before hearing Caleb introducing himself. "I'm Urijah. It's a pleasure to meet you Caleb." He answered with a smile on his face as he slowly reaching his hand out in an attempt to shake Caleb's.

Perked up at the sight of the offered hand and beamed brightly. His own reached theirs and gently shook it for a few seconds, right before he pulled back and into his personal space. He wasn't exactly one to prolong such exchanges when he just met someone, after all, and it seemed like this person had been searching for someone else entirely. "Nice to meet you, too! I think Cyrus mentioned you before. But then again, he's mentioned so many people nowadays.. it's become a little hard for me to keep up at times." Caleb admitted softly as he glanced off to a side. He then moved a bit in the direction of his dorm room and adjusted the strap belonging to his bag, "Do you plan on trying to find your friend somewhere else or are you going to hang around here a little longer?" he inquired, genuinely curious.

Urijah smiled as Caleb took his hand briefly to shake it before withdrawing his hand back to his side. Cyrus? Oh. I see. Small word. He thought to himself before asking, "What'd he say? Hopefully good things." He was only teasing, since it was possible that Caleb had heard about their dreadful conversation about adding classes to their school load if it meant more fun classes through out the day. His face expression was priceless. I miss it already. He thought to himself with a sigh, before hearing Caleb's question. "I was thinking of heading out to see if he happens to be hiding at our hiding spot. I forgot he tends to hang out there more than his own dorm." He answered, feel embarrassed that he had forgotten in the first place. "What about you? Are you going to head inside, or would you be interested in coming with me?" He knew they had just met but this would be a great time to try and make new friends, something he hadn't tried in years.

Caleb offered the other student a smile of reassurance and nodded, "Yeah. He always said good things, don't worry." and brought up a hand to bat the air in front of him as dismissal towards anything negative. The moment Urijah mentioned his possible search for his friend caused Caleb to shift where he stood, briefly look within his dorm room, then offered a shrug. "Sure! I already did my homework in the classroom, so it doesn't really matter. One sec." he then lifted a single finger and made his way within to drop off his belongings. In a couple of moments, he returned to the front door and closed the door behind him, after he made sure that he had his phone and key with him just in case. "Alright, I'm ready. Where should we start first?"

Urijah chuckled when Caleb mentioned how Cyrus only said good things about him. It was tempting to press what things Cyrus had said about him but maybe Caleb would feel weird on telling him. They had only just met after all. He watched as Caleb looked at his dorm before shrugging. "Okay." He answered, waiting in front of James' dorm when Caleb had gone into his dorm. Should I just text James? It'd be easier than trying to search for him all over campus. He thought to himself, being pulled from his thoughts when Caleb came out. "Well." He answered with a small smile. It was a hiding spot but then again, it wouldn't surprise him if other students knew about it. "We're going to the educational buildings." He answered, not admitting that they wouldn't be going inside for pure fun but checking the roof top to see if James was there. It was also possible James was in the gardens or bluebell lake. Both of which, were great hiding spots if you knew where to slip through.

Wasn't particularly sure of how much help he could possibly be, but he wanted to at least try. He wholeheartedly understood how it felt to be searching for someone that hasn't necessarily responded to calls or texts. Caleb experienced something similar during his years in Jr. High with Cyrus and he never wanted to feel that dread ever again. Of course, he couldn't say that Urijah experienced the same thing right then, so Caleb didn't wish to bring forth details of his past that could possibly lead his companion down a pathway of thoughts filled with dread. So he simply pushed his anxiety off to one side and gave a brightened smile instead, "Lead the way." he bobbed his head in agreement, then allowed his steps to fall into tempo behind the moment Urijah proceeded to move towards their next destination.

Urijah knew that it was his fault that James couldn't be found. He had after all been consumed with work that he had failed to keep up with them both. Though he hadn't tried calling or texting, he had tried catching James out of class and had failed to meet up with him. He lead the way out of the dorms and headed towards the educational building. As soon as they arrived, he opened the door for Caleb before following him inside. He peeked from side to side as they made their way down the hall before coming to a door. "So we aren't allowed up here." He whispered, "Are you sure you want to come with? I'd hate to get you in trouble if we're caught." He asked, not wanting Caleb to feel bad if he wanted to sit this one out after all.
