Ever since the events that transpired during the Halloween Festival, Caleb somehow managed to establish a more solid connection with his upperclassman as a result. One thing led to another during that entire week that passed, enabling Caleb to open up a bit more than he initially did. Their text messages became more frequent. Until the night he ended up receiving a message late at night.[break][break]
One which he wasn't expecting, and much less who it'd been from. Those factors alone caused his heart to skip a beat or two as he glanced over towards the sleeping figure of his best friend. The outline illuminated by the dim, seeping moonlight that poured through their windows. Carefully, Caleb shifted where he sat and pressed his feet against the cold floor. This caused a shudder to seep throughout his system as the teen stood. [break][break]
Being as quiet as possible, he slipped his feet into his slippers and made his way over towards the doorway. He tucked the key securely into his pocket and made sure to lock up behind him. Hurried steps followed as Caleb made sure that no one could be seen from any direction. In the shroud of night, he made his way over towards the pool. A place where he normally didn't visit, but after the cryptic message Johnny provided him with, Caleb just couldn't say no. [break][break]
The crunch of leaves and twigs could be heard as he made his way through the landscape until he finally arrived to his destination. The moon hung proudly overhead, only being hidden occasionally by passing clouds every now and then. This alone provided enough lighting for Caleb to locate Johnny after he managed to sneak into the pool building. Curious eyes scanned the area as Caleb attempted to locate Johnny. [break][break]
"Johnny.." he softly called out, mouth cupped sideways by a hand to muffle the sound. He didn't need to alert any passerby, after all. After the third time, hands were directed to his pockets to locate his phone. ... the phone he left sitting on his bed. A pause. Then a droop and a sigh. "Great. He's probably pranking me." Caleb mumbled with a slight pout. Of course, until he felt a light tap on his shoulder.[break][break]
This caused the teen's body to stiffen, eyes widen, and hopped a few ways from the source. Hands were then lifted into the air in defense, "Sorry! I'm sorry! Please, don't haunt me, Mr. Ghost! I promise I'm not interesting!" he pleaded, eyes tightly shut all the while.
