First and foremost, Johnny is an asshole. He rarely plays nice with other students and frequently leans into treating others awfully. The senior student is an upperclassman, but additionally a bully to those around him; especially to people who tell him what to do. He hates authority and it shows with his mouthy and condescending attitude. While he tries to behave during class hours, it is not uncommon for him to roll his eyes when teachers tell him what to do.

Friends are something Johnny is in extremely short supply of. Being one of Panacea Academy's bullies, he tends to be outwardly snappy and angry toward those around him. Pushing others away is something Johnny does best and continuously accomplishes. The feelings of others do not matter to Johnny. He is unafraid of verbal or physical confrontation, the senior having been sent to attention for his ill-tempered behaviour many times before. Those who brave this treacherous road would require extreme tolerance and the patience of a saint to get through his outward, cynical demeanour.

However, those he tends to befriend and lean into friendship with are oftentimes other bullies. People who similarly gain something out of making the lives of others miserable. Effectively, the friend of an asshole are other assholes given few others would consider tolerating them, and with Johnny, it shows. You either need to wade through the terrorizing waves of vitriol or stand up for yourself and earn respect from Johnny to have a remote path in friendship.

Enemies or hate ships are effectively a consistent framed portrayal of Johnny's relationships. He despises his mother, authority and sometimes, even himself. The first instinct Johnny has is lashing out and because of this, the blond burns more bridges than he builds. His goal is to upset people, digging under their skin until he snaps and it proves to be something he enjoys. Similarly, authority figures or even people making suggestions tend to be heavily disliked by the snappy young adult.

Thus, whether targets of the hurled abuse or somebody who has proven a problem, enemies are the easiest category to most. On a base level, Johnny holds little respect for anyone he meets and it tends to show in first meetings. The manner he was raised makes aggression a first instinct before benevolence; if that exists.

Ship-wise, Johnny is taken. This being said, there is room in the romance department regardless. A consistent theme in Johnny's life is the adamant over-compensation of pushing people away or proving them (or himself) wrong. Despite being bisexual and masc-leaning, Johnny has never had relations with another man throughout his life. This being said, he has left a trail of broken-hearted women and one-night stands in his wake. The bully tends to flirt with a majority of girls, attempting to dissuade any notion of him being anything, but heterosexual. A vast majority of these girls have become exes nowadays.

Relationships tend to fall apart easily for Johnny. Whether it derived from his asshole tendencies or his vendetta against even kind suggestions, most tend to break up with him quickly. More serious relationships may have even been sabotaged by his mother and her tendency to lie and fear-monger people into leaving him.

Johnny is a bully, someone who will easily bring mayhem to other characters. He is an asshole, treating other students badly primarily with verbal abuse and if you manage to piss him off? Potentially physical as well! Because of this, Johnny is a frequent face in detention and someone students may have been told to avoid at all costs. Does not help that a lot of friends are also bullies.

When your mother is a problematic talk of the town, people tend to hear things. Sometimes these can cloud people's judgement or even think the whole family tree requires burning... or even perhaps spark concern about the senior. Given the small-time articles written about Johnny's mother regarding her treatment of castmates, people are aware of Marion Darby. Thus, it can be someone close to Johnny's mother or somebody who knows the stories about her. How you approach Johnny about it? Good question since it is a source of anger.

Despite who Johnny spends the majority of his time around, he does work as a math tutor. He is surprisingly good at math, getting excellent grades in precalculus. His marks tend to hit the upper 90s without much difficulty or studying on his part. Numbers crunch easily in his head, as though easily put together. Thus, for a small fee, he tends to tutor other students in math. How nice he will be during these tutoring sessions is another question.

Anyways, down to business! I am fine with the notion of Johnny being Sebastian's long-term bully. As said, the dude's an asshole and picks on people a lot! Although, they likely would not meet through schoolwork assistance. Johnny is pretty smart since I wanted to break the 'dumb bully trope' and I would say the only thing he somewhat struggles in is English but gets good enough grades to not require help. Then he is extremely good at math and excels in that. However if you want a possible alternative for meeting, reading through Sebastian's app, he tends to interfere with bullying. Sooo, perhaps he interfered with one of Johnny and his group's other targets and it went from there?

My other suggestion that could be fun is they are both in Drama Theatre and I could see Johnny f*cking with people when the teacher is not looking and such. Tripping them, maybe hitting them too hard with a prop or too, general mockery, etc. So that could also be an avenue. Heck, these could even be combined if you prefer! Lemme know what you think! ^-^

Somehow I see the guys hitting each other continually with props during a play as their characters are interacting with one another in a whacked out version of Noises Off. Sorry, I'm a theatre geek. Anyway, if they're both in the Theatre Club, that works great. Theatre is Sebastian's religion. Don't mess with anyone in the hallow ground of a theatre, unless it's self defense.

Honestly, Johnny is less of a theatre nerd, totes somebody who is just there for fun. LOL So he would definitely screw around a lot to, I'm assuming, Sebastian's annoyance. lol Anyways, do you have a preferred starting place? ^-^ If needed, I can also start it, might just take me a second. A couple of things. One, Sebastian likes to hang out and play his guitar and sing songs. He might do it in the theatre or outside in a secluded place. Maybe Jonathan finds him outside near the horses? Or the pond? Two, Sebastian will probably think Jonathan's attractive. Except for that scar?? If Jonathan tries to make fun of Sebastian about anything, he's definitely gonna bring it up. So, basically he will be lighting the match. Question is just how combustible is Jonathan feeling? So let me know where you think they should be, and I'll start it since Sebastian's just minding his own business singing songs and enjoying himself. Sorry, I didn't read the plot hooks until now. Being a theatre geek, there is no doubt Sebastian has read the newspaper articles about Jonathan's mother if she's a problem actress. It's quite possible Sebastian wanted to see her in a play and wasn't able to after buying tickets because she was fired from it??? How bad a problem is she? Or reversely, is Jonathan the kinda guy who thinks I can say anything bad about my mother that I want, but no one else can? I ask because I have the opposite idea now. What if Sebastian saw her in a play and thought she was just terrible? She can't act or sing her way out of a paper bag and he honestly feels she owes him a refund for wasting his money seeing her? Anyway, Sebastian would probably bring her up also. So yeah, these two will probably be quite combustible whenever they get together. Wouldn't it be weird if Jonathan hates Sebastian because he actually made him defend his mother in an argument, something he never thought he would ever do? Meanwhile, poor little rich boy Russell needs some plots also. Russell is an arrogant asshole. And rich as can be. If Jonathan's mother is an actress, that would probably mean Jonathan is rich?? Maybe Jonathan can be Russell's bad influence at Panacea? But uses Russel';s money for parties. If that plot doesn't work, how is Jonathan at algebra? Russell could use a tutor in it. How patient is he as a tutor? Can he explain something to someone countless times without going insane and finally becoming abusive whether the kid's paying for his services or not? Okay, let me tackle the information first since this may change the overall plan here and we can keep a pin in the idea as a fallback option! Since I don't have a NPC Catalogue nor a Marion Darby entry (it's all wip) anywhere, I will give a bit of an overview question-by-question to make it a bit easier. Anyways, let's get into this!

Marion Darby (Johnny's mother) I imagine was a small-time actress who took roles in perhaps, smaller productions in Wisteria City. Not TV level, merely theatre level as you implied. The scandal about her treatment of castmates and theatre staff primarily took place before Johnny was born. Then one of the 'figurative nails' was her getting pregnant with Johnny and left by the man who made her of child. She was mostly part-time and took some smaller roles. I imagine in terms of attitude, total diva energy and definitely extremely self-fixated (Marion does have narcissistic personality disorder without any seeking of medical assistance, self-work, therapy, etc, therefore, it is rampant and uninhibited).

I imagine in terms of acting quality, she is capable. This is in-part cause she acts very innocently after harming Johnny with a bottle (which led to the jawline to nose facial scarring). I can concede the idea of her still getting some parts here and there, but she would be a rare actress to find in a production. It would also be unlikely even if Sebastian disliked Marion's performance for Johnny to defend, but alternatively, if it was brought up to him a 'Oh did you start this because your mom is an actress?' sort of way, he would most definitely get ANGRY! Because even if it was complimentary because she is skillful, Johnny hates that woman and would take it in the wrong light if you like that.

Okay, now for Russel's section. Actually, Johnny is a Giving Chances student on account of Marion & her boyfriend living well-beyond their means. He is their little 'farce' and they do not admit he was admitted due to Giving Chances. It is a role Johnny plays to, in his words, 'get the b*tch off his back'. He can still be a bad influence, but may not cause the forced spending of money. Not sure why, just is not his style. That being said, he would promote sneaking out, breaking into buildings and general mischief! With the tutoring section, he would probably wear a little thin, but can probably manage the 'grin and bear it approach'. Might get annoyed if it is consistently a problem since at that point, he would suggest writing notes during the session.

As for payment, I have not thought too hard about it. Might depend on what he thinks of a person, but since his thread with another student he tutors involved payment afterwards, we can say after for the extra drama of it all. Since I know if someone is known for stiffing, obviously, he would want to get paid first if that makes sense.

Jonathan's mother sounds like my mother irl. She loved acting and was in a lot of Off Off Broadway shows. She might've gotten a littel pay for it too, but not a lot at all. Anyway, thanks for the information. Since Sebastian is a junior, would she have done anything at all in the last two years? When was the last time she was on stage? Sebastian might've found a review in the Wisteria newspaper about the show. My mother was in a really really bad show once. The star of the show who wrote the show himself spat when he talked, so I just imagined the first row needing umbrellas to see the show. Anyway, my mother and maybe one other actress got the only good notices in the review. maybe we could do the opposite in Jonathan's mother's case? Anyway, have we figured out where a thread might take place? in the theatre? or outside where Sebastian's playing guitar and singing? Maybe Jonathan could come by and start singing along and Sebastian might ask him to please stop. (he sucks?) Sebastian likes singing alone. And being alone. I was just trying to find something to explain why Jonathan might bully Sebastian.

Sorry for the soft delay again. Anyways, Marion has likely done a couple shows in the last two years. As for the last time, we will say it is flexible since honestly, have not thought much on it since I haven't fleshed her as an NPC. And by the opposite, do you mean a bad review? I don't mind it being subjective, but as said, good to keep in mind Marion is a good actress. It is integral to Johnny's history given she uses those skills to cover up one of her biggest, visible actions of abuse against her son.

I will be real, Johnny is not one for spontaneous singing. He likes music, but he would more listen than partake. It would be too awkward for him. Location-wise I am fairly flexible. The reason behind Johnny's actions don't even really need to be deep. The dude hangs around a bunch fellow bullies since they tolerate how much of an asshole he is. It could be something as simple as Sebastian telling him what to do- maybe in tandem to earlier with Johnny needing to respect the theatre setting cause he is playing around too much or intentionally annoying one of the other theatre kids. ^-^
