An artificial smile played across Brasti's face as he bid a temporary farewell. Plastered over her pale face and framed by long, dark locks of hair was a mutual grin. Genuine, but in the violet eyes of the senior, a masquerade. In the grand play of life, Jesse-belle played her role with cruel excellence. A darling mother, who by her words, rescued him from his drug-addled father and his neglectful stepmother... She always spoke down about them, despite her hand in their arrest. They both knew the truth, unaware of how much the other knew and where the daily lies ended.

He hoped her more unaware than him. Either way, Brasti always reached a point with his biological mother where he wanted to escape... Arguably needed it to avoid leaking the small pieces he discovered in his weekend investigations... He needed proof to show a detective or something... That way his mother could pay and depending on the sentencing, his parents to be released from prison and Kyren from the foster care system. Quietly, Brasti walked away from the sprawling house, heading down the sidewalk and away from that woman. His hands hid in the pockets of his jacket, footsteps measured.

Inside his pocket, Brasti's fingers traced over his phone... Maybe he should take a break from her and text Lilith? ... No, she already had plenty to deal with herself. He could not accidentally pile on others with reckless abandon for her safety and well-being. A sigh escaped from his lips. The walk was long, but eventually, Brasti found himself where the high-end businesses were stationed. His violet eyes curiously glanced around, looking through the windows. A variety of boutiques and restaurants received a curious glance through the windows. The high-end fashion choices were intricate and something that always stunned Brasti.

His walking paused when he picked up on something. Two people shouting at one another. A brow rose curiously as Brasti leaned against the wall, beside a bench. Amusement flickered over Brasti's face, violet eyes shining with intrigue. Well, this would be a marvellous distraction from thoughts of his and his mother's social chess game.
